Song: “Perform This Way” by ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic
Mood: 7
Nightmares: 1
I slept pretty well last night. I’m afraid to jinx anything but I think the prazosin might be doing the trick – it’s the second night in a row that I’ve had very few nightmares and I seem to be sleeping better, too. Not getting a good sleep is okay for a couple of days here and there but if it goes on for a while it really wears me down. Catching up on sleep a bit sure helps.
My exercises didn’t go all that well today. It was difficult to concentrate and my mind kept wandering all over the place. I did the time, though, and once I was done I went outside to spend my time there, too. It’s still unpleasant and I still feel kind of silly doing it but I’m going to keep doing it.
After I got back inside I decided to take a look at the quadcopter again. There’s not a lot of documentation for it out there so I had to glean whatever information I could from YouTube videos and websites about different products. After a couple of hours (and a couple of breaks) I hit the jackpot and got the motors spinning. They weren’t all spinning at the same speed, though, so I had to figure out how to calibrate them. After a little more research and a couple of false starts I got them to spin in unison. That was it for today – I think the next step is to configure the transmitter.
I did ERP today with the garage door and downstairs freezer. The freezer is coming along well but the garage door is not. Not only do I find myself having to check after I’ve closed it, I feel a strong urge to check it every time I’m in the kitchen or whenever I walk by the window. I’m a little disappointed with myself with this stuff right now but I think it’s just a matter of time and effort before it gets better.
J and I started watching episodes of Columbo from 1989. They’re a little more hokey than the old episodes were (what in the late 80s and early 90s wasn’t hokey?) but they’re better than I remember. Still a good way to end the day, too.
Tomorrow I plan on working on the quadcopter some more. It’s been an interesting and enjoyable way to spend time. I should probably also do some laundry, but that’s not nearly as interesting or enjoyable.
Stay safe.
